Despite my particularly lacking skills at soldering... my #rc2014 Zed Pro Pride Edition worked first try? 😱

WHAT VOODOO IS THIS? I was expecting to have to spend a whole week swearing as I check which solder point I'd managed to fuck up.

It's still possible, of course, that I have bungled something and bits won't work but... this at least means that the CPU module, ROM, RAM, CF Card and VGA modules must surely work. Oh, and the clock? I guess?

I've got a lot to learn about this glorious based beast.

After I finish soldering this wifi module…

An end of an era?

The Z80 product line, specifically the Z84C00 is being end of life after 48 years of production.

As usual for Zilog, nothing on their website.
