#UNRWA / Documents reveal alleged pattern of Israeli harassment of Unrwa workers on West Bank
Internal UN papers present allegations of systematic harassment, obstruction and violations against UN operations and staff in the West Bank by Israeli authorities in the context of the Gaza conflict.
UN staff working with Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have been subjected to systematic obstruction and harassment by Israeli military and authorities since the beginning of the Gaza conflict, including alleged incidents of blindfolding, beating, verbal abuse, and intrusive searches at checkpoints.
The documents record hundreds of incidents ranging from alleged assault on UN staff to the use of UN facilities by Israeli troops as firing positions during raids on refugee camps where Palestinians were killed.
UN shipments of crucial medical supplies were allegedly delayed for over two months by Israeli customs authorities.
🇮🇱 (Dec.23) MSNBC’s Ali Velshi broke down how the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (Aipac), a pro-Israel lobby group, has increased its influence on US politics.
Aipac directly endorses the candidates and contributing to their campaigns since 2021 in order to deter pro-Palestine politicians from gaining seats in US politics.
Aipac is among the largest donors in politics, contributing to the campaigns of 342 Congressmembers.
"It is thus far from cynical to argue that these purported humanitarian interventions are anything other than a stalling tactic designed to allow the US and Israel time needed to achieve their ultimate political aims and objectives – an ethnically cleansed Gaza." https://www.juancole.com/2024/03/western-genocide-humanitarian.html
Ghassan Kanafani in the 70s dealt with the same problems we have now:
“Because this is something that cannot be avoided.” In fact, though, this phrase is an extension of the widely used Israeli slogan that “A good Arab is a dead Arab.”
"Thus, Team Biden has a pretty standard P.R. problem on their hands: They’re not going to change their support for genocide, but they need to chip away at the growing discontent and cynicism among their base. Thus, at least in the United States, the US-Israeli destruction of Gaza is fundamentally a P.R. war."
Imprisoning Palestine, Zionist colonialism through an abolitionist lens.
by Rawan Masri & Fathi Nemer, June 2023
"Today, more than ever, it remains crucial to center any discussion about Palestinian liberation through the lens of abolition and a complete rejection of carcerality. In this context, Incarceration is not only related to prisons and prisoners, but touches upon every aspect of our life. From the moment of birth, Palestinians must contend with being criminalized for existing. We are surveilled and censored, our oppression normalized, and our bodies corralled into various open-air and closed prisons.
Such tactics have always revealed more about the jailor than the prisoner, and the logics inherent to the carceral apparatus are shared between all oppressive forces. While the goal is to project strength and power, what it divulges instead is fear, insecurity, and self-doubt. Resorting to locking away the inconvenient reminders of a crooked system betrays its weakness, a society unable to function without constructed villains onto which the world's ills can be pinned.
Rawda Abu Ajamiya, prisoner freed in the recent exchange deal, was kidnapped by IDF forces who stormed her home in the Dheisheh Camp in #Bethlehem.
Once again, Israel is showing that they can't be trusted and the prisoners and hostages they released, can be imprisoned anytime the apartheid regime decide it.

In that 2014 article, “There are no poems of mass destruction,” he wondered why Israel would bomb the Islamic University of Gaza, where he taught literature. ~

Tik Tok - Israel views info as a threat so US bans it
This Republican-led push for censorship has been reinforced by behind-the-scenes pressure from pro-war celebrities, Zionist groups like the ADL, and tech executives like the former executive of dating app Tinder Jeff Morris Jr, who is “convinced” TikTok “is the reason we’re losing the information war with high school & college students.” All of them have pressed TikTok to censor more pro-Palestine content. https://jacobin.com/2024/03/tiktok-ban-israel-gaza-free-speech

"Despite their narrow focus, recent international sanctions against settlers are laying the foundations to turn verbal condemnations into tangible action."
