"I'm such a good buddy and close personal friend of the President of the United States that I decided to cut his legs off while he was delivering a major speech to NATO allies and a vast global audience at a critical phase of a brutal land war in Europe."

Oh boy. #Trump’s Doral rally was a doozy. Let’s recap it:
He started off by bragging about his golf course instead of apologizing for being an hour late and leaving people waiting all day under a heat advisory.
Hey #NYTimes! Try covering this instead of the manufactured drama about Biden’s age, and stop contributing to the destruction of our #democracy! Tell your bosses that #WeBackBiden! (btw you know you won’t have a job if the other guy wins, right?)
New, from Scott @dworkin, this great article on why the media should actually be delving into whether Trump is fit to run or not (other than for being a convicted felon). #ActuallyHonestNews you can trust. #WeBackBiden#BidenHarris4More
I don’t know if NYTimes or WashPo are on mastodon. There are accounts but I don’t know if they’re official or just relay bots. However, specific NYTimes and WashPo journalists are on mastodon. Maybe we can directly tag any/all of these journalists in #WeBackBiden posts, regardless of their focus (politics journalist? Definitely. Book reviews? You bet. Food and dining? Watch out). Perhaps that can help word of our discontent to spread throughout the organizations.
and if using hashtags, make sure the post’s visibility is set to “public”, otherwise it isn’t searchable via the hashtag! For example, right now, from my view (may differ on other servers), a search for the #WeBackBiden hashtag only brings up two posts that aren’t already mine. Let’s flood the field!
@GottaLaff
1/ Here are some #NYTimes/#WashPo journalists/contributors, on mastodon. If you find more, feel free to add in comments!
Not all of them are very active, cover politics, or contribute to problematic coverage. Tagging them is NOT intended to shame/berate anyone! It’s simply a way to get the msg to higher-ups (“hey, Boss, people seem mad about your decision to destroy democracy, and it’s totally clogging my inbox. Maybe stop doing that so they stop tagging me about it?”).
@wifsten@GottaLaff yup. If you find additional people who are more active, feel free to add them in the comments for others to find.
Also, many have gone over to #Threads. So if there is anyone here with a Threads account, feel free to copy, paste, tag, and spread the message over there!
@GottaLaff haha looks like they’re back on #threads now (we weren’t running away, it was totally a mistake, we pinky-swear promise!), but not before they got lambasted on IG too
Maybe #NYTimes is too old to understand and use this newfangled technology…they should probably step down and let some younger, more exciting media outlet take over. You know, for the good of the country.
