The first ever Chapter of #Antumbra manga is finished!!!
I really don't know what to say to be honest... It started as a mock cover of Rid (OC) on December '23 and suddenly after 6 months 12 actual pages of an actual manga are a reality.
What I really really hope for is that when you download this .pdf and read it, it'll leave you wanting more and having enjoyed reading it :blobcatcozytea:
To all followers: thanks for being along for the trip so far! Here's to lots more ink adventures! 🍻
BE WARNED: It contains frontal non-sexual nudity, use of virtual substances, hints (discretely) at sexual actions but none depicted, and has violence.
THUVIA, MAID OF MARS (1979)
Acrylic and Gouache on Illustration Board - 20" x 25"
Another cover from The Martian Tales by Edgar Rice Burroughs. I had to be careful with Thuvia, as everyone on Barsoom goes nude, and yet full-frontal nudity was unacceptable for the cover. 1/4
#ExoplanetExplorer five-year mission. Ride stormy winds through the cloud system of a distant gas planet, facing powerful hurricanes and avoiding being sucked into the deadly layers below. The most wobbling experience you'll ever find!

Straight to the top of best book I’ve read this year is Translation State by #AnnLeckie. High concept #scifi shot through with delicious black humour. @bookstodon#reading#books
Been looking at Faster Than Light: Nomad. It’s got a CC-BY SRD, and looks like a solid system.
Kind of thinking of a space soldier game. Basically life in the trenches of a 40K guardsmen, or starship troopers. Human with a laser rifle and basic body armor entrenched in a hopeless war on an alien planet. WWI in space.
But the trick is not to make it too depressing, while not making it heroic as well.
This morning I made a last-minute decision to change the name of a new robot character in Frozen Heck, the fourth book in the Starship Teapot series. I really don't know why I ever called her anything else.
My biggest question about the #Babylon5 universe is do professional sports test for psychic abilities since you know you might be able to tell what route the opposing receiver is gonna run.
For all the wonderful writers contributing to this shared-world anthology, it really reads like so many extra yards of the Jerry Cornelius novels. The best writing is by Hilary Bailey, who turned a lovely sentence.
