Found today, a small Magpie moth.
Very pretty & I only had to chase it for a while before it settled for me to take a photo.

A smallish mostly black & white moth with a hint of orange at the point where the wings meet the top of the moth’s body. The wings are spread open and edged with black. The inside of the wings are white with more black spotting on. The back ground is a fuzzy stemmed plant and yellow petals of a flower are behind one wing of the moth.

    The Hummingbird Clearwing Moths have found a buffet along a small creek: Blackberry flowers! There is a small crowd of them.
    These moths are very fast, moving from blossom to blossom. Hard to catch.

    A photo of a Nessus Sphinx moth on a window screen. Its wings are outstretched, and the tip of its abdomen is raised. A tuft of scales extends from the tip, spread wide like a fan. This moth is medium-sized, mostly mottled brown, with a darker band across the middle of its body and wings. It has a narrow stripe of flourescent yellow across the middle of its abdomen and trailing edges of its wings.

    Did a blacklight night at my house, but the coolest bug by far wasn’t at the light!

    A large, freshly emerged luna moth perches on a person’s arm - the moth is as wide as the arm. It is mostly pale green, with dark front edges of its forewings and small eyespots. Its antennae are finely serrated but short for the size of the moth. On each side it has a slightly twisted tail on the hindwing.
