Look at this Myrmecophilus cricket, adapted to basically be an ant pet: is it not so fucking cute??

I also saw a small fairy
(Woolly beech aphid, Phyllaphis fagi)

Same insect, next to a finger. The finger appears huge, because the insect is probably around 4mm long. It has wings spread, like if it was ready to fly away.

I went to see the swamp today. The summer weather has arrived,there is little water, although not completely dry. And these mushrooms were shining at me from a distance. They're tiny, actually,about 5 mm across. And they have eyelashes!
In the swamp, all I have to do is squat in one spot and spin around for fifteen minutes - I keep seeing new amazing, tiny things to photograph.
