First festival in over 4 years. Mike Skinner did not disappoint: comes onto the stage, puts down his phone and jumps over the fences to party with the crowd 😄 Class act, he genuinely wanted to make sure everyone has a good time.
Both the Seattle Times and KUOW are running big stories today about the just released Bumbershoot lineup. That’s cool, but Bumbershoot is months away.
This weekend is the Northwest Folklife Festival at the Seattle Center with tons of live music and arts available for your cultural enrichment. They don’t sell tickets but do ask for a donation on entry. Full schedule here:
Looking forward to this performance on Saturday in #Oakland ... This will be the proper IRL release for my new Peregrinations cassette, so I will be playing a set of solo soprano saxophone improvisations.
I havent been particularly concious about it but over the last 2 years or so, the bands / artists I have shot have been pretty evenly split if not more women, thats pretty cool. Happy International Womens Day
