"...anonymous US officials informed it that the Biden administration views the increasing strikes by Israel’s military on southern Lebanon as the precursor of a full-scale invasion of the country and war with it. Such an event, the officials said, would require the US to intervene and directly support Israel in order to help it win the conflict"
Israel not interested in ceasefire, far from. More interested in a wider war.
They suck fighting in the battlefield and only can win against those with no heavy weapon, no airforce, no navy or air defense. Will their attack against Lebanon teach them a lesson they never forget?
Of course before it happens, uncle Sam. Step dad macron and sugar daddy Schultz will come to rescue in the name of fighting Iran. Hezbollah' have already kicked their ass twice in the past despite Israel destroying Lebanon in revenge, will this be any different?
But for now, all they can do is to post calls for genocide in yet another country in a sick and sarcastic way.
"Mouin discussed the significance of the struggle for Palestinian freedom and its links with democratic movements across the world, including that of the Global South."
Footage shows Israeli forces using medieval-style trebuchet catapult on Lebanon border
The #trebuchet, a weapon made of wood with a long arm that catapults projectiles, can be seen hurling balls of fire over a fortified border wall into southern #Lebanon, where intense fighting is ongoing with the armed group Hezbollah. An Israeli soldier with a bow is also seen firing a burning arrow across the border wall.
#Hezbollah said on Tues that Israeli forces killed one of its commanders in a strike in southern #Lebanon, stoking concerns about escalating the conflict on another front.
The commander, Taleb Abdallah, aka Abu Taleb, was among the highest-ranking Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon who #Israel has killed since the Oct7 #Hamas-led attack on Israel set off #war in #Gaza & inflamed tensions.
Joyce Karam: UPDATE : Israel launched one of its deepest strikes in Jwaya, South #Lebanon (near Tyre) killing high commander in Hezbollah Talib Sami Abdullah (Abu Talib) and 3 others. Reports that this is most senior commander killed in 8 months: @lebanon
Hezbullah attacked soldiers in Birkat Risha again , using Iran made Almas-4 ATGM, this time their video showing that they ran inside the room where a group of Israeli soldiers were staying. (9 June 2024)
The Israeli army hasn't acknowledge the attacks or any soldiers injured during the attack.
The video says the attack was done with Almas-4. This is the first time something like this is mentioned.
Iran has only reported 1,2,3 variants of the Almas (diamond in Farsi) ATGM s. These previously reported Almas devices are as described bellow:
Almas 1: Up to 4 km.
Almas 2: Up to 8 km. [Photo]
Almas 3: Up to 16 km.
It will be interesting to see what Almas 4 have for operation range. These devices are going to be a nightmare for Israel if they actually dare to enter southern Lebanon.

♲ @faab64@diasp.org:> ### Hezb-Allah confirmed that they downed another Israeli Hermes 900 drone. The Israeli regime has admited that their drone was downed.
It is the first time in almost half a decade, Israel is facing a resistance with ability to fight back and defend themselves against their overwhelming air superiority. It is funny that Hewzbollah have shot
Just FYI: 🇺🇸 🇮🇷 🇮🇱 U.S. warns #Israel "limited war" with #Lebanon could draw Iran to intervene
🔶️ U.S. officials told Axios the #Biden administration told Israel it doesn't think "a limited war" in Lebanon or a "small regional war" is a realistic option because it will be difficult to prevent it from widening and spinning out of control.
🔶️ The Biden administration warned Israel that a ground invasion of Lebanon, even if it is only in the areas close to the border, would likely push Iran to intervene, U.S. and Israeli officials said.
🔶️ One scenario the administration raised with Israel is that Lebanon could be flooded with #militants from pro-Iranian militias in #Syria, #Iraq and even #Yemen who would want to join the fighting.
🔶️ A senior #IDF official said that the situation has been escalating since May because #Hezbollah conducted more successful drone attacks against Israeli targets that weren't intercepted.
🔶️ At the same time, Hezbollah started launching "Burkan" rockets with 1,000-pound to 2,000-pound warheads that caused significant damage to IDF bases along the border.
🔶️ No decisions were made in the war Cabinet meeting, but the IDF presented several options for expanding the fighting, including a ground invasion aimed at pushing Hezbollah's elite Radwan force away from the border, the IDF official said.
#Israel has used white phosphorus extensively across southern #Lebanon, according to a new @HRW report. The munitions pose a high risk of excruciating burns and lifelong suffering, and their use as an incendiary weapon in civilian areas is a war crime. @lebanon@israel
#Lebanon Acting Attorney General Removes Judge Ghada Aoun from Investigated Cases (L’Orient LeJour explains more but requires subscription. They are both appointed judges; he can fire her, but can’t nullify her sentences nor tell the judiciary police to ignore her orders. Matters because she’s investigating officials corruption & as relates to Beirut Blast) @lebanon
