Better start looking for a Sharkey compatible iOS app I guess....IceCubes doesn't seem to support it, even though Sharkey claims to use the Mastodon API, I guess that's not enough for seemless app usage....😬

@postmasters There's the tag if you need help. @FediTips can be useful. A public post means anyone following you or viewing your profile can see the post. Unlisted is visible, but only if you go looking for it. (Useful for writing long threads without clogging the timeline. Unlisted replies will show up if someone clicks the original post, but won't be seen otherwise.) I see you're already getting the hang of hashtags, which is how discoverability works. Any other questions?

How much time is ok to wait after an account is moved from server A to server B, to bring down server A?

My old instance is abandoned, just forwarding any request to my new instance for the last 2 months, and I want to bring the first down finally.

@FediTips Hi:) I accidentally filed a pinned post older 9 months and now can't find it again with the standard reports, or various search operators. Scrolling profile backwards is unfortunately only possible for about 3 months.

Fediverse question:

I'm not seeing "Share On" icons on news articles and such for Mastodon/Fedi, except very very rarely. Is this because of the limitless variations in server configuration? Is it not necessary because copying a link is just as easy? Or is it because the Fedi didn't start getting the little attention it's received lately, until only lately and still remains relatively obscure for most folks?

Help, I have an / question: if you own your own domain, can you use that one domain for hosting accounts for multiple fediverse apps?

For example, if I owned bjones.com (alas, I do not), could I have mastodon@bjones.com, pixelfed@bjones.com, etc?

Name me a Mastodon app for Android that has something like "For you" timeline where it generates what posts show to you so you wouldn't miss them.

I follow 612 people and trust me, I got the most hugest, gigantic, biggest, largest amount of posts and even using Lists feature doesn't help!

I do not want to miss important stuff. I'm currently still settuping my lists but seriously, wish that was easier...
