After more than 30 years of dropping bombs on similar groups you would think the U.S.A would realize it doesn't work. The military has become a joke. Things like this just embolden bigger nations. Iran, Russia, North Korea, and soon China (don't believe they want armed aggression, at least not yet).
Let's tell Ukraine what they can and can't do with weapons provided. Meanwhile Israel get to do whatever the fuck it wants bombing civilians to kill a few potential targets. More will just take their place. If Israel wants more weapons and money they should go ask their Russians friends.
Prevents poor country from progressing socially or economically through wars and genocides for decades
Complains about their lack of social progress
Bruh.
If you attack passing ships you can’t complain about retaliation
If you commit and support a fucking genocide you can't complain about having your supplies blocked. Would you not support blocking supplies to nazi Germany either?
But they're not just attacking ships supplying aid to Israel. They are attacking whatever passes by them. If it was to support Gaza, why would they have attacked a clearly marked Chinese ship?
Pretty sure they stopped attacking Chinese and Russian ships since they stopped supplying "israel" and co. through the Red Sea after the Yemeni gov told them to. There were a few misfires after that but for the most part they're left alone.
Hell, a br*tish ship misqueraded as a Chinese ship a few days ago to avoid being attacked. Probably why Yemen is ending up hitting a few Chinese ships too.
Regardless, China has condemned the US and UK's bombing of Yemen. As anyone with a hint of morals should.
I'd say supporting a genocidal colony with billions of dollars instead of your own country's healthcare and education is about the most "betacuck" thing you can do lmao
This is no different from sanctions if you bother to think about it. Sure it's more scary, but they aren't killing people. That should count for something. They're just limited by their material conditions and doing whatever they can to stop the genocide.
Bengalis, Cubans, Vietnamese, etc shouldn't have fought against their oppressors and liberated their nations then? Cuz killing people is wrong and two wrongs don't make a right ig?
Picking a fight with a superpower is generally a poor idea. Killing military members - even in Jordan - might be considered a bit beyond mere commerce.
The US helped Saudi Arabia bomb the shit out of Yemen for a long time (search). I'm not properly educated about this myself but there are war crimes, starvation, a lot of shit. I mean you can't keep up. But to them, enforcing sanctions against Israel creates local support, otherwise they are a pretty bad Islamist regime. The Houthis are also not proxys of Iran. So US bombing them probably helps them too internally.
But there is so much shit going on that it's hard to keep up.
Houthi/Ansarallah are the main Yemeni government though, with over 80% of the population under their governance with popular support. Regardless of whether foreign countries or those supporting the genocide recognize that or not.
