Walnut credenza! It took me all winter to build. I’m so proud of it! ( lemmy.ca )

I built this garden shed to hold potting supplies and lawn tools for my bonsai garden. It was a fun exercise playing with the nail gun and I didn't even stab myself. The shed definitely is not plumb or square, but it hasn't fallen over yet so I'm pleased.

Hey woodies,...
Nothing too fancy and not super precise, basically cut a strip of wood to size with a hand saw and made notches for the pieces to fit together using the same hand saw and a chisel. :)

I made this from a long piece cherry offcut that I've had sitting around for ages. Here's a better picture of the interesting bit:...
As we didn’t find any shelf of our liking we tried to create it ourself....
For some clarity, I did not make the speakers, but attempted to match the wood as closely as I could for the credenza.
Another angle below. Very dinged up and the end and legs were missing, but seemed like to much hardwood to pass to....

I'm guessing this is the result of layers of slathering a fresh layer of finish on these tables. To be honest, I kind of like the look. Any idea what type of finish this might be?...
It's actually just friction fit together in this picture; as I type it's in the clamps as the glue dries. Tomorrow some final touch up sanding and the first of four coats of spar varnish, then a few decades on my front porch under a couple potted plants....
A simple shaker style table in white oak, finished with spar urethane and kitty approved....
Cheap cherry slabs with black epoxy. The top is boring but I love the way the front turned out. Drawers are lined with red velvet and have black steel pulls.
I made these stands for my kids. There was little room on each side of their bookshelf but I think they worked out....
A small table for our toddler to draw on and ruin 😊 Solid maple build with mortise & tenon aprons. The top was bookmatched from a piece of 8/4....
I'm working on replacing my porch furniture, and the side table was the worst of the lot so it got replaced first....
My son is obsessed with Mario LEGO and had his own little table in the corner of the LEGO room. It was overflowing and my wife hated how messy it looked. While she was away for a few days I made this....
My family had one from decades ago that's falling apart, so I made a replacement. I went with toothpicks as little dowels to help join the crossbars to their supports, since the flat glue joint didn't hold for all of them....
I made a joiners mallet. I’m trying to challenge myself by only hand tools. The wood was found in the basement; I think hickory head and I have no idea what the handle pieces are. The handle and head were each laminated and the handle was mortised in, wedged, and glued. I rounded out the handle with a spokeshave and rasp....
