This community https://lemmy.world/c/conservativememes2 had recently had its only mod banned for hatespeech/transphobia. I would like to request moderation control of this community....

Been unable to upload since yesterday. Getting an error in 2 apps, so it feels like it's a LW thing.

For anyone unaware, a community's outbox typically contains the last 50 or so Post Announcements - it is retrieved when you are the first person to find a community on a remote instance. It also seems to be fetched whenever an community on a remote instance realizes it's out of sync with the community on its host instance....

Basically the title. I use MullVad, and recently discovered that Lemmy.world is not allowing me to submit new posts or commenting on others' posts if I have my VPN on....

Looking on lemy.nl itself shows all the posts. Tried looking while logged into lemmy.world from the site and with jerboa. When I open the sub from lemmy.world I only see 1 single post....

Not sure if anyone can help, but there's a user I've tried to block I don't know how many times now, but I still see their comments and they reply to one of mine about once a week. Not just a single reply, they tend to reply to multiple comments each time they do it if I don't respond....

Trying to find some new communities on my instance.

New user who claims to have been IP banned from Reddit spreading conspiracy theories and sensationalized news.

Terms off service (TOS) makes it very bad if I understand it right ? And why does the user interface makes it easy anyway ?...

Is there any interest for the option to "hide" posts? I used it all the time when I was on reddit and would love to see it added here. The feature was always helpful to keep the homepage clear of posts I've already read.

Title says it all. I've made 3 posts and it doesn't matter what app I use or even on the desktop site I can't seem to find my own posts on my profile page. When I click on someone else's profile I can see all thier posts so idk what's going on.

Wondering if theres a policy for users who are clearly here to troll and stoke/create drama?

I seem not to be able to create a post in the community !theNetherlands. When I tap the ‘Create’ button, instead of creating the post, it just keeps spinning forever and never actually creates the post. I’m using the regular Lemmy.world web UI on Safari on iPadOS 16.6.1....

It seems all the mods for technology@lemmy.world are inactive, and are not making any effort to combat spam....

This is completely counter productive to growing Lemmy. I absolutely despise discord. Look at the network traffic it generates and tell me wtf they are doing. They won't tell you. Their business model will leave you completely dumbfounded as to how they exist. Everything shared on the platform is lost in a black hole unavailable...

They are a lemmy instance dedicated to the facilitation of piracy, and copyright infringement in general which is illegal. It is by nature in violation of the rules of your instance which prohibit illegal content, therefore it is imperative that you defederate it in accordance with your policies.

Is that a configuration or a software problem?...

I've been trying to post a - rather long - comment for a while, and it's just not going through. It just instantly disappears on old.lemmy.world, and sits there spinning on the main site - while one-liner comments elsewhere have worked as normal. I'm not getting errors, but that's kind of par for the course. Could it be length...

It'd be nice if the admins got everyone's input on these sorts of things. Admins making decisions without thought to our opinions is what drove us here from reddit. I'm not going to lose sleep over hexbear defederation in particular, but it's a disconcerting precedent....
