Everyone knew about Harvey Weinstein. Everyone knew about R. Kelly, Bill Cosby, and Jeffrey Epstein. Everyone knew about the Catholic priests. Everyone knew about Donald Trump. I’m so tired of people protecting rich perverts, keeping their dark secrets for decades. So damn tired.
@Strandjunker and then there are others who everyone knows about, who are so litigious that I’m not going to mention their name even here in fear of being sued for libel.
If we would invest massively into catching pedophiles and traffickers we would jail so many oligarchs and corrupt guys for it that we would no longer need to try and fail to jail them for tax evasion and fraud schemes.
@Strandjunker I had to run a vile sex offender out of my friends group after pointing out what kind of person he was and a lot of the women in that group say he made them feel uncomfortable, but when he overstep the mark I had to make a threat on his life to scare him off for good, my friends never understood why I had to act in such a way, 12 months later he was divorced from my friend who was married to him for trying to assault her daughter, we don't talk about him anymore...
Any choice to profit from abuse no matter how tangentially a perpetrator justifies their violations, is their declaration of complete failure of character, and they should NEVER be trusted with anything but a shovel and the hole they’re told to dig.
@Strandjunker It's wild to me that Warren Jeffs got 120-something years for accessory to rape or whatever it was, on just two counts, for marrying off 12-13yos to other men.
(And to be clear he absolutely deserves to die in prison.)

No. NO. This is why mandatory reporters are a thing. Proactively victimize children, whether personally or by proxy, go directly to jail.
@Strandjunker On a side note, I'm personally tired of prosecutors in these cases taking shortcuts to get speedy convictions only to have it overturned. First Cosby now Weinstein?
@Strandjunker id say it’s a patriarchy issue over $$$$. Although the $$$$ makes men more brazen. My wife worked at a rape crisis center and I want to say 1 in 4 men have committed sexual assault, maybe it was 1 in 5. Point being everyone knows an abuser and men open your mouth when you see it take action.
