🤦🏻♀️ “NY’s highest court on Thur overturned Harvey Weinstein’s 2020 conviction on felony sex crime charges, a stunning reversal in the foundational case of the #MeToo era.
In 4-3 decision, NY Court of Appeals found trial judge who presided over Weinstein’s case made a crucial mistake, allowing prosecutors to call as witnesses a series of women who said Mr. Weinstein had assaulted them — but whose accusations were not part of the charges against him.”
@GottaLaff how is it inappropriate to have other women testify about what he did to them, even if that isn’t part of the indictment?
Isn’t this analogous to how witnesses testify against women, describing how they “go to bars” and “drink and party a lot”? You know, the NORMAL CHARACTER ASSASSINATION that society perpetually inflicts upon women?
@GottaLaff He has 16 to do in California. He is 72. He will still likely die in prison, even if no further cases are brought against him. The best he can hope for is a slightly better view while he lives out the rest of his miserable life.
