I had to paint the red light into a green light to make 2 green lights and 1 yellow light. I should paint the yellow light as well, but I ran out of green paint.

1928 — Charles Adler Jr. developed a sonically actuated traffic light. To operate it, drivers pulled up to a red light and honked their horns to make the light change. Installed in Baltimore, it was the first actuated traffic signal in the United States and served as the basis for modern traffic signals. https://magazine.wsu.edu/web-extra/traffic-signals-a-brief-history/
@lowqualityfacts This is clearly true. I noticed in NY City that people honk their horns as soon as the light turns green. Does that make the light stay green longer.
