One benefit of not being on my meds is that I can drink coffee again. In fact, I can perform mine and my dad's usual party trick of drinking a big mug of strong coffee then promptly falling asleep for eight solid hours.

It legit took me decades to work out that coffee really does make other people feel more physically awake and it wasn't just a metaphor or something.

Once upon a time, I could mainline coffee all day with zero adverse effects and be productive. But then I got older and now caffeine affects me the "normal" way. I need to watch my intake, not just quantity but time of day as well.
