By a vote of 51 to 48, w/ 1 senator voting “present,” the ruled that the charge was because it failed to meet the requisite bar of . united in opposition except for Senator Lisa of Alaska, the lone “present” vote, while were unanimous in favor, after arguing that a cabinet member cannot be impeached & removed merely for carrying out the policies of the admin they serve.
