(1) Can we have a study on the regret rate of living through the puberty associated with trans people's assigned gender at birth?

It should be possible to get survey data on this?

How big is the percentage of people in the population who were assumed to be cis but turned out trans? 0.6%-2%? That's roughly the same ballpark as detransition rates.

So there is "cis regret"!

(2) AMAB kids are operated on for maldescensus testis (just one example). That's a cis gender affirming (for cis boys) operation done on kids - usually without their consent. It is not done in order to benefit the kid in the short term. It is done because of what they are expected to want as adults.

Actually this operation can lead to complications for trans girls/women.

So why is the standard for gender affirming care only the immediate psychological benefit for youth and not the known psychological benefit for trans adults and the known psychological harm and complications for trans adults? Why are the standards so different for trans kids?

For my German readers: The maldescensus testis treatment guideline has the same validity level as the upcoming guideline for treating kids with gender dysphoria (including puberty blockers): S2k
