I don't think we spend enough time talking about how things like game dev engines (Unity), programming languages, and even IDEs shape the creativity and scope of creative and practical applications available through computing history.
Similarly the video editing tools in apps like tiktok have shaped media ... but, their development isn't taken that seriously, or talked about much.
What could development tools made with real care and consideration make possible?
