Tesla says it’s going to start building a new model in 2025, but that’s only to distract from how the next year or so looks dreadful for the company.

As it faces growing scandals and increased competition, it’s not clear Elon Musk can guide it through the challenging times ahead.

For Tesla to succeed it needs new owners who know about cars and maybe some technicians

@parismarx unless they get a hell of a lot better at making cars, Tesla's future is as the proprietor of a charging infrastructure. They're sort of stumbling along behind a first-mover shield on that right now. They can have a really deletrious effect on EV adoption by screwing up management & product development on that.

Ready within 2 years? Or simply just ready enough that Musk thinks they can open for pre-orders? With first delivery in like 2030?
