German nationalist party AfD pulls European Parliament candidate Petr Bystron off the election campaign after multiple media reports, he is among several EP candidates who have received cash from Moscow.
Analysis has previously shown how the AfD party has had a surprising shift to becoming pro-Russia, and they have been under investigation by the German domestic intelligence service, BfV.
@randahl I wonder who really was surprised by this. I figured it was encouraged by Putin and his folks all along, when he saw that his influence in the SPD went away with his friend the former PM there.

Maybe it's tin foil hat talking but it really feels like this entire MAGA Trump thing has deep Roots in Russia and it doesn't surprise me that they try this in other places because (looks around) it works..

It really seems this is a new type of warfare. Psyops have always been a thing but when you throw computers and social media into that mix it gets really hard to defend. And even when you catch them red-handed what are you going to do? I don't think we're at a point where dropping bombs for data is a thing so you tell them stop and then they do it again.. not sure where the solution to this is really..
