ergative , 3 months ago Hey, you! Do you want to open a door for a fish? Utrecht has a river where fish swim upstream to spawn, but they have to keep the boat locks closed, which blocks the fishes. So they set up a live stream + doorbell system. Join the live stream, watch the underwater camera, and ring the doorbell if you see a fish! https://visdeurbel.nl/en/the-fish-doorbell/ (NYTimes write-up of the story here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/28/style/fish-doorbell-visdeurbel-netherlands.html) #fish #ecology #doorbells
