It's a great feat to be sure. Also I understand why they started with kidneys.
I didn't think about inactivating porcine endogenous retroviruses, but it makes sense that they exist and would be a bigger problem for a patient who is heavily immunosuppressed with e.g. tacrolimus for transplant.

Despite all that understanding, I'm still somehow underwhelmed that it's a kidney
