Aww, damn. #RIP Award-winning journalist Charles Osgood, who anchored "CBS Sunday Morning" for 22 years and was host of the long-running radio program "The Osgood File," died Tuesday at home in New Jersey. He was 91.
@GottaLaff@punkonbus1701 I was always amazed at his ability to have his spoken words both sound clearly considered and crafted as well as sounding perfectly natural. An incredible talent.
@GottaLaff I met him back in 2000 when he narrated the CDs for the book/CD combo Poetry Speaks, which I was editing. He was very down to earth and really easy to work with at the recording session, just a really decent guy. He had such a great voice and warm delivery. So sad to hear of his passing.
Damn..damn..damn. One of my very favorite journalists and the classiest, most stylish bow tie wearer ever to sit before a camera. See ya on the big radio in the sky, Charles. #RIP
My MGM had it for years but it wasn't recognized, and died in a nursing home not recognizing anyone. Glad my parents did not suffer from it and feel great sympathy for anyone that is challenged with caring for/living with someone with dementia.
