@lowqualityfacts which makes the shark sushi platter quite difficult .... a good buddy of mine in college lost a hand trying to take the first bite.

@lowqualityfacts …served with live fish, a dab of wasabi and eaten with relish, if you can coordinate your chopsticks. Chopsticks are designed to encourage you to eat slowly.

@lowqualityfacts I once went to a fancy sushi bar and ordered a dish that was a lobster roll with live lobster soup. They had a lobster tank, and I do really like lobster and whenever I’ve had “live lobster” from a menu, it was actually just freshly cooked.

Not this one. The meat in the roll was still moving and the head was twitching in the soup.

I use chopsticks all the time, but I have not mastered this technique yet. I will keep working on it. 🥢🎣

@lowqualityfacts True Fact: I had an eccentric science teacher in middle school back in Japan that brought in a bunch of goldfish and a tank of liquid nitrogen and we took turns grabbing the live fish with chopsticks, dunking them in the liquid nitrogen to freeze, and then back in the water to see them come back to life*

@lowqualityfacts Which is much more humane than stabbing the fish repeatedly with forks as is traditionally done.
