@Robert_Vinson@1over7 Sadly, when children reach this level of starvation, their body starts eating muscle and fat and what is left is just a bone covered with thin layer of skin.
It is a horrifying image, some healthcare workers in northern Gaza are saying they see that very often as the result of extreme dehydration and nourishment under such long period.
Indeed, the physical vessel is simply trying to survive. If they manage to pull through, I can only imagine what the experience has done to their psyche.
