    You may be making a fallacy of false equivalency here and overstating the similarities. I definitely agree Democrats do similar things but, it seems to me, that Republicans engage in it by orders of magnitude more.

    Of course, that perception may just be my political biases shining light on the two parties differently.

    @breadandcircuses @CheRosach yes to some extent, and on the basis that all power corrupts. But it is much more evident in UK Tories and US republicans.
