#Rugby commentary: are these modern commentators paid by the word? Because I enjoyed the older-school minimalistic commentary of Grant Nisbett (NZ) on Super Rugby this morning, and oh boy do they witter on in #IREvSCO - and most international games now. It's like a stream of total babble

PS I may (!) be old(er) 😆 as I watched the first RWC final in 1987 ...

Good game at 7-6 to Ireland though

But I agree commentary is often better when they let the pictures do the talking. In ALL sports.

@Natasha_Jay if you think this is bad, you should try watching an match.
They talk as much or more, and they don't add anything of value with their commentary.
