Many reasons to feel angst. At any moment, choose wisely what you attend to.
Climate change, threats to democracy, hate rooted in ignorance & spread w viral propaganda across our globe, rising extremism, w gun rights revered more than voting rights.
Empathy, love, a shower, poetry, a walk in the woods, an orgasm, a hug, rest, our pets, theatre, music, dance, art, a tree, birds singing, bees buzzing, Curb Your Enthusiasm, a good meal, a good book
Just agreeing with the above and saying here that Curb Your Enthusiasm is doing its part to preserve democracy and American sanity. Last week's episode with Larry David reciting the Gettysburg Address in the men's bathroom at a Laker's game, his fellow Americans listening enthralled and erupting in a chorus of "USA! USA! USA!," gave me laughs and hope, the best combo.
So funny and so densely packed. I like how Larry David doesn't punch down, he punches in; most of his humor is self-mockery, with the punchline often involving him in a crowd of people being ridiculed and loathed by everyone. And he gets shamed celebrities like notorious cheater Laurie Laughlin in on the act of self-mockery. His political humor is right on, incisive. This season of Curb, Fargo, and True Detective: Night Country are shining lights in the darkness, imo.
