@futurebird Is this all just to wear us down and distract us so something passes? I’m tired with all that’s happening and I think they’re hoping to exploit that. Pure speculation on my part. Or maybe I’m just bad at limiting my scope and instead tend to respond to everything.
I think that's part of it. But they also score points with their fearful base with such actions. And the attempt to make such laws makes it sound like it is a real issue. Makes people fear the public schools and more receptive to dismantling them.
They don't need to give an example of an evil teacher to tricked some god fearing child into being trans, just pass laws as if that were something that ever happened (it's not)
They're just poking holes where they can, finding out what will pass and what won't. Things that pass get adopted by other states. They are doing a gradual strategy to erase as many trans rights as they can.
I put a cw on this since I could see the sheer number of these nonsense bills getting to be exhausting. And some may want to preserve their energy and focus for the ones that may pass.
