I would say: "I don't know who needs to hear this, but do not create a federated alternative to fetlife" except that I'm pretty sure no matter what you create you'd have to really be trying if you wanted to make it worse than actual fetlife.

I'm so sad that none of the various alternatives that people proposed building when it became clear that the admins of FL were probably all rapists came to fruition. I occasionally drop by and it just seems like a wasteland to me, now.
