Marceau, French Doctor in Ecology, took action against BlackRock on the 25th of October 2022, when scientists exposed the company as the second biggest investor in the climate crisis and in humanitarian crimes.

They also demanded Germany to call on the World Bank and IMF to cancel the Global South’s financial debt so Global South countries can undergo a just transition.

In October 2022, Sylvain glued his hand to the steering wheel of a luxury sportscar in the the BMW Welt showroom, demanding the transport sector's decarbonisation by implementing a speed limit in the autobahns and reinstating the 9€ public transport ticket.

By remaining chained to lobbying from the car industry, Germany is not only failing its people but lying about being at the forefront of climate policy. Transport decarbonisation is vital to lower carbon emissions, but is marred by greenwashing and is too slow.

After spending 7 days in detention, (5 in the Stadelheim prison), Sylvain now faces serious charges. Yet he, like 100s of scientists, knows the importance of civil disobedience to face the climate crisis. scientistrebellion.org/sign/

@ScientistRebellion bear in mind that Friedrich Merz, the head of the German CDU (Christian Democrats, conservative) party was on the Board of Black Rock for years.
