Just fire the clowns who handled digital forensics on "the laptop." Fire the clowns who promoted the IRS "whistleblowers." The are clearly deep pockets of either incompetence or corruption in the FBI (surprise! look hard at any large organization, and you'll find the same), but this is an opportunity to clean house.
Unlikely outcome, but would be delicious if it happened.
