You might have heard one of Trump's kids claimed to recite the pledge of allegiance every night with her kids (Do they have flags in their rooms? IDK.)
But, she also said she'd "protect" her daughter from playing sports against "biological males" then, nearly the same breath: she'd never let her precious daughter use "identity politics as an excuse"
Of course, by identity politics she means things like pointing out racism. Interesting that gets a dog whistle; the rest was barking.
Totally. They are telling us EXACTLY what this is going to be.
We really need to question why these things find such fertile soil in our country. And change that. That is if this country is still "mine" to any small extent in the coming years.
I'm trying so damn hard not to say anything. It's not meaningful or constructive to insult the looks of those with bad ideas.
I do wonder if her ideas make her look worse to me? Maybe.

(I feel a little enabled by the fact that a lot of what is unsettling me are choices she's made. Choices to look younger mostly. "younger" ... and stung by bees. )
@futurebird I try not to insult people based on their appearance and was even a little embarrassed by my post. But there is nothing as ugly as evil, especially when it's this weird false face that she built to cover... someone better?
@futurebird@Gustodon ok, funny. but for real, there is something to that. my parents have been historically conservative, my mom was always terrified of getting older and deployed similar superficial tactics to look younger. recently, she’s gotten involved with some outdoor & sporting clubs, her views are now more center and she’s embracing old age
