@guardian@GottaLaff and thus begins the scapegoating, rather than addressing the core of the issue, namely a direction from the entire leadership to focus on short term shareholder return. Putting nothing into R&D to replace their nearly half a century old airframe, threatening their workers into silence on safety issues and so many other problems.
Firing a middle manager won’t fix a damn thing, but Wall Street will be appeased.
@GottaLaff that is mostly regurgitating the conclusions of Downfall: The Case Against Boeing, which is an excellent Netflix documentary on the initial 737 MAX crashes.
After seeing how the company has turned on its original leadership ideals to embrace end time capitalism, it is sadly not hard to foresee that it would be major changes… or more tragic deaths, more preventable accidents and eventual it would kill the company, while making the leadership wealthy.
@GottaLaff I shall, but citing sources is the ethical thing to do. The team did a lot of really amazing legwork documenting every bit of wrongdoing in incredible detail. It’s the kind of journalism we should have more of, I really hope we can find a way to fund that kind of thing long term.
