White people, as a rule, aren’t phased by a return to 1950 and fascism. 60+% voted for Trump. Over 70% outside of the Northeast and Far West.
You can probably even walk up to most White Democrats who’ll say ‘well 1950 wasn’t soooo bad. My family did okay.’
