One of the problems with white liberal "resistance" to fascism is it accepts the anti-democratic features of the US system which fascists exploited to gain power such as the Electoral College or the Senate being stacked in favor of no population red states, while rejecting equally legal countermeasures such as court expansion or adding states, which leaves them with practically nothing except "just vote" because they've already accepted fascism's gains as legitimate.
Morally, it's repugnant that a violent, hateful minority should enjoy such outsized power over our lives, particularly when also taking advantage of gerrymandering, voter suppression, bribery, and other forms of corruption to ensure minority rule everywhere possible, but too many white liberals are incapable of making that argument because they're already morally compromised in favor of a system where injustice is routinely legalized on behalf of them and other white and wealthy people.
