And the version replaced the one I was using. Old version was pink Pixelfed logo. New version is black Pixelfed logo.
But the version downloaded looks nothing like the screenshot provided showing some of the updates 🫤
I "think" what I have is version 1.0.0.49 🤷♂️ (see attachment below).
I can't find the notifications from the provided update 😕
All I have is a heart (lists the "like" notifications) and the email icon (lists the messages/DMs)

Did I install the wrong thing? The link took me to Google play store and this screen (see below) which is the app installed
What can I do to download the correct version?

I still have a home screen link/icon for pixelfed.social via the web ui ... so I'm still able to do anything needed, but I'm hopeful to also use the correct app 🙏
Yes! It worked, but had to "uninstall" in two places ... right click and uninstall only removed it from the home screen ... but uninstall in Android App settings was able to remove it completely.
