A full court press is underway in the #Georgia Senate to punish Fulton DA #FaniWillis. And it has the blessing of Lt. Gov Burt Jones, a #Trump ally and GOP leader who could face charges for his conduct following the 2020 election
Jones, a likely gubernatorial candidate in 2026, said Willis’ relationship with special prosecutor Wade has made her “fair game” for intense legislative scrutiny.
“It has all the implications that she is prosecuting for profit,” he said.
@GottaLaff so again, we’re proven, that as long as you are criminalizing from the gop, it’s carte Blanche, and anyone that attempts to curtail that will be the ones criminalized. Are we great now?!? So we’re just barreling towards revolution then?!?
@GottaLaff I don't get the profit angle here. Aren't they doing the jobs they have, are they making money on the side because they're in a relationship?
@GottaLaff when you consider how many politicians literally are funded by special interest groups and literally legislating for profit. I am so confused by the outrage. Oh well.
@GottaLaff@lomanfeusagach The GOP are trying to make the case that Willis hired the special prosecutor, with whom she was having an affair, who is being paid at a rate higher than normal prosecutors, and they are using that cash to fleece the taxpayers.
