FYI, if you're using a Moodle interface that requires colons in some sort of pseudo-but-not-really-coding-feature*, but the text you want to embed in that feature also uses colons, the IPA length mark is a nice alternative!
It is RIDICULOUS that I must resort to these workarounds.
Fuck Moodle.
*if it were proper code I could just escape the special characters
