@futurebird Isn't that a model who works for the base rate negotiated by their union? Like IIRC it's around $8,000 per day for voice actors, but I don't know what it is for models.

a scale model is just a representation of how scales work. Like a toy train, but for understanding what happens when the scales fall from your eyes.
@futurebird well, "preserves proportions" is a THing of definitions. Nor all proportions can be maintained by linear downscaling since some effects related to rotational movement or mass or updraft can not be scaled the same way...
@futurebird miniature racing car collector here, a scale model is a perfect (1:1 in details) model, under a different (smaller) scale of the original thing. For example, Ferrari would have a Ferrari 499P that won the Le Mans 24H in 2024 in Maranello, but I could have a 1:43 scale (shrunken 43 times, detailed, albeit non functioning) model of the original, real, car.
