One of my goals at this point is to help reduce the power of the New York Times, which more and more routinely abuses that (often deserved) clout.

The Times made a point of skewering the Clinton campaign in 2016. No doubt the bosses were convinced she'd win anyway. They were preparing for a presidency that they could snipe at in ways that would affect policy.

They're on another campaign now, to push Biden out, and their clout has carried along a lot of other media people.

That's real power.

@dangillmor I'm shocked by the NYT's headlines every time I open the app (may delete it soon / happy that my subscription expired recently).

It's worth saying that there is a financial incentive for media organizations to have the presidential campaign be very chaotic and uncertain because it drives attention and clicks.

If it were normal / drama-free, it wouldn't make people check the news so frequently. It's really messed up
