The Telegraph: Martina Navratilova hits out at ‘regressive’ campaign featuring rugby players in lingerie

"Lingerie company Bluebella say campaign is intended to show that girls ‘can look muscular and strong as well as feeling feminine’"

Apparently larger female bodies give tennis TERF (Martina Navratilova), swimming TERF (Sharron Davies) and Parkrun TERF (Mara Yamauchi) the ick. Which speaks volumes about TERFery. It's all about control - in this case of female bodies and presentation, very little about progressive feminism

@Natasha_Jay I despair of Martina’s attitude towards trans people and yes of course people have the right to bodily autonomy but there is also a long history of hostility to female athletes / sportswomen looking butch, a pressure for them to look feminine. Even now I’m struck by how few openly masculine presenting females there are in elite sport.
