Character generation for "They Came From Beneath The Sea!" this evening, an RPG of 50s monster b-movie shenanigans. Went smoothly enough, although the game does have a few extra mechanical elements that leap out as being unnecessary complications, but we'll see how it goes in play.
My lungs held up sufficiently well for me to complete Dr. Burgess Shale, big-brained scientist with a pipe, a limp from the war, and a lot of old colleagues who will rue the day they mocked his discoveries.
The difficulty for me in playing a brilliant scientist is my habit of hanging around with people who are rather more brilliant and better educated than I am. They are not, however, better bluffers.
