@jerry my pleas have been heard!

@jerry
That is a cool setup. Though it reminds me of something I've seen on those CSI shows with the dual lens mounted flashes....🤔

@jerry What is your license on the photos? Have you thought about selling them to a stock photo place?

jerry OP ,
@jerry@infosec.exchange avatar

@andrew I would like to make some money off them, but not considered selling to a stock photo site. Any recommendations? I’ll have to consider the license question. Not sure.

@jerry I'd follow the heck out of 'Jerry's Garden' Pixelfed account :ablobcatheart:

@jerry nice ring

bhawthorne ,
@bhawthorne@infosec.exchange avatar

@jerry I sure hope you have a decent firewall on that.

jerry OP ,
@jerry@infosec.exchange avatar

@bhawthorne the wild thing is that the camera has an Ethernet port, WiFi, Bluetooth and several other wireless protocols

@jerry It’s a walking threat surface!

This is the start of a flower pod on my plumeria. Not much to see yet, but should be really awesome in a few weeks.

I almost forgot - my desert rose plant is starting to bloom

jerry OP ,
@jerry@infosec.exchange avatar

I just noticed from the picture that the plant is covered in mites. I may have to get some rose dust or something

@jerry Here's one of my plumeria trees:

jerry OP ,
@jerry@infosec.exchange avatar

@bielsubob ah, you live where they can grow outside?

bielsubob ,
@bielsubob@infosec.exchange avatar

@jerry I'm in Austin, so they are outside for pretty much 9 months of the year.

jerry OP ,
@jerry@infosec.exchange avatar

@bielsubob nice. I only get about 6 months in Atlanta. I could probably push it to 9

bielsubob ,
@bielsubob@infosec.exchange avatar

@jerry I bring them into the garage right before we get our first freeze. Last season that was mid Dec. By March it was pretty much safe to bring them back outside. I would bring them in the house during our "winter" but I know that my 3 cats would mess with them. Thankfully, I've never had any issues with them hibernating in my garage.

@jerry I’m going to have to learn how you get these macro shots so beautiful! So cool 😎

I miss my Nikon, it brought much joy at one time. 😆 now so busy, I may get back into photography next lifetime, or perhaps if life slows down

jerry OP ,
@jerry@infosec.exchange avatar

@EVDHmn it’s pretty simple. I am using the Nikon 105mm f2.8 macro lens, and the godox macro flashes with a flash controller. All those shots were hand held, at about f30. I bough a few more flashes and want to try replacing my video lights with flashes to see what I can do in a more controlled studio setting.

EVDHmn ,
@EVDHmn@ecoevo.social avatar

@jerry I had these photo lights and photo boxes that had leds in them with my d200, the freestanding lights were a lot of value for the money, I imagine price has gone up.

jerry OP ,
@jerry@infosec.exchange avatar

@EVDHmn i bought a pretty nice one on Amazon that is 3x3x3 and I think it was just over $100. Not cheap, but not terrible either

EVDHmn ,
@EVDHmn@ecoevo.social avatar

@jerry yeah those boxes are super useful.
