It's one of America's dirty little secrets that wealthier white Democrats see themselves as being in a big social club with Republicans and while they wish Republicans weren't always so vulgar about it, they agree with them more often than not and accrue most of the same benefits they do in the name of wealth and white supremacy.
And anyway, fighting about it would be terribly rude over brunch.
