July 1, 2020 – Trump promised to veto a $740 billion defense bill over a provision to remove the names of 10 Confederate generals from military bases. Ridiculing the amendment’s sponsor, Trump wrote in a tweet that he would reject the annual bill if it includes “the Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren (of all people!) Amendment.”
