StefanEJones OP , 1 day ago @SJohnRoss I have a "Low Premium, High Deductible" plan. The HSA that comes with it is a great investment and will come in handy when I'm older. But for now, everything is essentially out-of-pocket. Including the hearing aids I get a consult for tomorrow. $$$$$.

SJohnRoss , 1 day ago @StefanEJones We spent most of last year without any coverage at all ... so we learned the hard way to ask for explicit up-front pricing. 😵 We just literally had no idea it was possible to walk out of a simple labwork stop with a $600 tab ($300 each).
