I just sent this email to #TractorSupply . I am not expecting a response.
If you are a customer of theirs, especially (but not exclusively) if you are rural, I am generally happy to help you find alternatives if you wish to take your business elsewhere.
As a longstanding customer of tractor supply who lives in a rural area I was deeply disappointed in the recent Tractor Supply company statement (
https://ir.tractorsupply.com/newsroom/news-releases/news-releases-details/2024/Tractor-Supply-Company-Statement/default.aspx ).
As a queer person who lives with and works on a property with horses, this craven, reprehensible statement does not serve me or my interests, nor the interests of those people "out here" like me. Especially when so many of those calling for your statement weren't even rural.
I am immediately moving all of my business elsewhere. Luckily for me this is an area with plenty of alternatives and while many of the services and employees of Tractor Supply have been great over the years, I cannot support a company that would make such a cowardly statement and retreat from policies that directly support people like me, people like your employees, and the environment which directly affects us as people who _are_ "out here." Especially given your former (extant?) Human Rights Policy (https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/cms/human-rights-policy).
I am sorry that it has come to this and hope that your company will do better in the future. In the meantime, I will be working with others for my ranch needs.
