A week or two ago a friend remarked that it was odd that I never had a chance to do a city book in my industry days.
That's mostly the case. In particular, the relevant editor at SJ Games outright mocked me for wanting to do one for Yrth or Hyboria (they had the Conan license in those days), partly because he didn't like city books, partly because Tredroy hadn't sold well.
But White Wolf(!!!!) DID give me a contract for a city book (for Dark Ages) and I walked on it. So that's on me.
